Average gestation is 200-205 days. So if they are still carrying then they were likely bred Christmas or later

Yes. I have a lease really close to tellico and our best Hunting is always dec until end of season. Weird part of this is that lease is in southern part of county and my other lease in northern part and the northern lease rut last wk bow season until end November. Very strange but good for my hunting if I can pick right days. Nice pics tellico.

Thanks Muddy.
Always amazes me how much the rut varies in Tn. Seems that just a few miles makes a big differences. If I had to chose a single time period that produces the most visual daytime rut activity for us, it would be the week after Thanksgiving. Than has been consistent for the past 4-5 years. Previous to that, I would have said the week before Christmas. Have no clue why or how it changed....

Thats what we notice as well about the rut here! Last couple of years the last week of October is really good to see Mature bucks in Daylight and the new ones on the farms. Then within a week of Thanksgiving either way is very active. Very nice deer and an awesome Cat!
