deep cleaning your barrel

I've never even heard of deep cleaning or polishing until I joined tndeer a few years ago.
Been killing turkeys for over 20 years with old Remington 1100s and 11-87s.

But I have to say, if it helps my guns performance I might just do it.

All I have done is put a little oil on the moving pieces here and there, brush the inside of the barrel with a little oil on a rag with an old Easton aluminum arrow.

I'm in the process of doing the deep clean/polish on my shotguns. So the barrel on my 935 for waterfowl "looks" good. Only time will tell of the results.

My question now is how to do effectively clean those tight turkey chokes. I can still see the residue streaks even after running a bore brush and Hoppes #9 thru it a bunch of times.

I use Shooters Choice Choke cleaner but before that i would use hoppes and a 20 gauge brush and run it though there about 50x. then run a dry patch then run a few patches soaked in Alcohol to remove the remaining oil residue.
