Deer hurting turkeys; asinine or legit?

Re: Deer hurting turkeys; asinine or legit?

I have grown up deer hunting and it has always been my passion. But the last few years I have really gotten into turkey and duck hunting. I like being able to cook and eat in a duck blind and get up and chase turkeys when the sound off in the distance. I can still sit in a tree daylight to dark and when November hits I get the itch but I see myself moving more to ducks and turkeys.and concentrate on deer just the month of November.

I also feel that the ecosystem is getting out of whack. Way too many deer, way too many armidillos, foxes, coons, hogs, among others. Some people think that shooting coyotes is good, which it can be. What out there is eating these little turkey/quail egg eaters if there are no coyotes to eat the racoons?

A big predator, such as a coyote, bobcat, or fox, will usually only catch itself one poult, and move on. Skunks, Armidillos, possums, racoons, and the like will find a nest of 13 eggs and eat ever last one of them.
Add Fox and snakes to the list while you're at it .The timber industry clear cutting hasn't helped any either.

Yall must not have the whitetails like we do around here. The only thing farmers can grow is cotton.

Any deer hunter who has to blame turkeys in any way, shape, or form for there lack of deer sightings is not a very good deer hunter to begin with.
WTH are you talking about? Hes asking if deer are causing a decline in TURKEYS?

I think predators are a much bigger problem. Ain't near as many people coon hunt around me as they did 10 yrs. ago. Our coon population has exploded.

No one wants a coon hunter on there place disturbing there deer population.
