Absolutely believe they can predict weather. From all I've read, and my own observation they know when a front is coming, and will feed heavily before, and after.
It would be easy to say they feel the falling barometric pressure, but I just checked my internet weather station at my hunting property and the pressure was actually rising all yesterday afternoon. Don't know what they're keying in on.
