My wife makes a quick and easy fudge pie. It's our go to for meal trains at church or small family gatherings.

1 reg. pie crust
1/2 cup melted butter
3 tbsp cocoa
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup self rising flour
2 eggs beaten separately
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt

Mix all ingredients except eggs. Beat eggs separately. Add to other ingredients and continue until mixture is smooth enough to pour in the pie crust. Bake at 375 for 30 mins or until center is set. Be sure to lick the mixing bowl clean.

I love a simple oatmeal apple crisp done a cast iron dutch oven and especially if you have some vanilla ice cream. One of our favorite camping/hunting/house desserts

A decent cobbler over vanilla ice cream is one of life's finest rewards.

You can kiss Suzy Q every now and then but that cobbler will win out in the long run.
