Dillon 650 Press

There is a Dillon 650 for sale near me. I know it's been discontinued and has some quirks but I'm seriously considering adding it to my collection. I currently do 90% of my loading on a SDB press and the rest of it on an RCBS Rockchucker.
The 650 would come setup for 38/357 which is not a caliber I currently have (it would be an excuse to get a nice wheel gun though LOL).
The press comes with the strong mount, bullet tray, spare parts kit 38/357 conversion & dies.
Worth it for around $500?

I'd grab it in a heartbeat for $500 if I wanted it. I've been loading on my 550B for about 10 years I think and the 650 is an upgrade. Since it's been discontinued I'd probably go ahead and get a couple or more spare toolheads and anything else that you might see a need for later.

I picked up some spare parts from Dillon for a press out of production over 15 years. They did not even stick me on price.

Far as my experience goes Dillon is good people.

Not so long ago and purely by being where I was/when I was, I struck up a conversation with an elderly gentleman who was a retired aerospace engineer. At some point, shooting/loading became the topic of discussion. Turns out we both had Dillon loading equipment. As we continued talking he related to some changes way back in the early years of Dillon. This gentleman is Customer #7 in Dillon records and actually engineered some of the changes back then that help us today. He was impressed by what Dillon went to market with back then but, from his engineering experience, he was able to recognize some needed improvements and presented them to Dillon. He spoke of letters of appreciation, etc that Mr Dillon himself sent as they implemented the upgrades. This elderly gentleman was just a wonderful individual to carry on a conversation with and it was all just by coincidence that it happened........ but I don't believe in coincidence.
