Dirtiest hit I think ive ever seen.

Easy fix; make rushing QBs play to the same rules as the rest of the players.

Idk- that didn't look awful bad to me- I mean it was a little late, but didn't look like a hard hit.

EDIT- I watched it a couple more times, and it was worse than I'd originally thought.
 
Looks like the defender made his move to tackle at the same moment the runner initiated the slide. I don't know if the defender had any time at all to react to reduce the contact as he was attempting to stop a first down gain. I think it is partly the runner's fault; he should have committed to the slide a touch sooner if he wanted to avoid contact.
 
It seems there's an unwritten rule with QB's- that they're not to be hit like all the other runners when they try and run.
This makes them more likely to try and make up yardage, it comes with a risk, and shouldn't be their go-to play if you ask me.
 
If I was Lawrence I think I'd catch that guy not looking after a play the next time they play them and kick him in the balls as hard as I possibly could and take the penalty/suspension/fine. Let it be known that there will be a price to pay if you cheapshot me.

Reminds me of a story a long time ago about Johnny Unitas. I think this was before the bird cage style face mask - it was mostly just a single bar across the front of the helmet. Anyway -

A lineman made a big hit on Unitas. Unitas felt that it was cheap shot. In the huddle Unitas told his blockers to let the lineman through on the next play. When the lineman broke through the line and was bearing down on him, Unitas let loose with one of his hard passes and hit the lineman square in the face at a range of just a few feet. Problem solved. I don't recall who the lineman was.

Unitas was the first pure passer QB, but he couldn't play today - his lack of mobility would get him killed.
 
They used to show an old clip of a huge lineman from the raiders punching the other teams guy that was playing opposite of him and telling him not to hit him so hard next time.
This was when they were still in Oakland and had more of a biker gang mentality.

Watch this video it clearly shows he saw him going down and then made the move to hit him and made sure to hit his head with his forearm
