The new Dirty B decoy has been on just about every show the last couple of weeks. It simulates an injured gobbler.

Any thoughts on how effective it might be? (Considering it is $100, it better be pretty darned good.)

haven't heard of it. I'm sure it will work sometimes but I am not much of a decoy person and it might be a gimmick.

How much more does a guy want to tote? what does it really take to kill a turkey? Its just a big bird, with a brain the size of an acorn.I have hunted em for years, took one or two. Amazing what they come out with.Always something to make more money.

They gotta try to make money...

I've got too much to carry now, either the decoy goes or the belly, too much work to get rid of the belly...

A marketing gimmick, simply put. The primos guys are old friends, but they roll this stuff out every year and I just chuckle. Usually have a good laugh about it at camp during opening week back home as well.

The whole decoy thing is completely out of control, and I am just glad I was forced years ago when they were illegal to learn how to hunt without them. I certainly won't be buying one, or any decoy for that matter.

If I could call them "old friends", I don't think I would call their newest product a gimmick on the net.

Told them the same thing to their face last spring

They probably just chuckled and gave the ol' cha-ching... :)
