Great comments all around about the issue with no definitive conclusions. Considering the money spent annually on game cameras, it would seem like a good scientific research project. Most hunters have more money tied up in game cameras than they do guns and stands. I have bought only about 4 cameras total and have two that still work. I have spent about $1300 on those four cameras. The first camera I bought was a camtracker film camera about 15 years ago for $500. I feel like I am on the lower end of the curve regarding money spent on cameras. Even still, this could be a large percentage of annual hunting budget especially if you pick up a camera or two a year. I am looking at a covert black ops remote black flash camera right now that will run me almost $400. Given the comments, I may be reconsidering.
