• Help Support TNDeer:

do you hunt on sunday's

I usually try to be done before church, however, I can honestly say that I never feel any closer to God than when I am hunting His remarkable creatures in His glorious creation.

I often say to people that I am going to church when I go hunting, whether it's Sunday or not.

there was a LONG thread about hunting on sundays vs going to church a while back.

the key is to not use hunting as being church as a replacement to worshiping god in the way he teaches in the bible. There is a fine line between the 2 sure and you can without a doubt worship god while in the woods but how many people actually try and learn about god while hunter vs how many randomly just talk to god some inbetween the time they are more concerned with the actual hunt?

Always. One of my childhood preachers told me that God was with me in the woods or on the water, and just to keep him in mind while I enjoyed his creation.

No. I used to hunt on Sundays but there were too many times that I killed a deer or turkey right at the time I needed to stop hunting to get ready for church. The result was that I would miss church due to cleaning and checking in the animal. I had to make a choice to hunt or go to church. Each of us must make our own choice. The Lord has given us a free will and I choose to learn and worship Him.

I hunt every chance I can. Even before church if its ok with my wife and ok with the man upstairs. So far, its been ok with both of them.
