Depends on your view of what the Bible teaches re: the Sabbath. Unless one just tosses out the 4th Commandment, he must conclude that God wants us to work 6 days and rest 1 day. So, if you believe the Ten Commandments still apply, it is just a matter of choosing which day to rest and give one's self more fully to the worship of God. Many Christians believe that since the Resurrection of Christ (which occurred on the first day of the week), the day of rest has changed from Saturday to Sunday in recogntion of this event and is called the "Christian Sabbath" or "The Lord's Day". So, in my understanding of God's Word, I would say Christians shouldn't hunt on Sunday. That's just my understanding of what the Bible teaches and I know that it is an issue which good Christians debate. I also understand the argument "I feel closer to God out there where the gobblers and are gobbling and the bucks are bucking". Boy, how I understand that! There's no place I would rather be. I just think it is very important for Christians to base their behavior on God's Word as they understand it.Goshen Valley Boy said:Bucks & Beards said:One of the big 10 speaks to this don't you think - "Remember the Sabbath Day..."?
So then, we shouldn't hunt on Saturdays.
