The one with the targeting call?
That is still the rule, right, or will they make an exception?
No. It was in the first half. If it had been in the second half then yes
You sit out the next half. Whatever game that happens to be in.I have to wonder, what is the rationale of punishment for a misdeed that varies by what part of the game it occurred in. That is bizarre.

He was ejected from the game. You are immediately ejected and then you miss the next half.Sit out the next half? That's idiotic. If it's enough to sit out, should be automatic ejection from the current game, and suspended for at least the next game.

I don't know. These thugs can't seem to be able to stop themselves from head hunting. I guess with enough missed halves the mindset will change. That's even more ridiculous. So he got ejected, and had to sit out the half he was already ejected for.
I just can't find the logic in that, even if this case was an aberration.
No. He misses the second half of the current game and since it happened in the first half he gets to play the entire next game. If he had been ejected in the second half then he misses the first half of the following game.He was ejected from the game. You are immediately ejected and then you miss the next half.
That's what I mean. You are ejected from the game and you miss the next available half your team plays, no matter when that is. I can't seem to explain this clearly.No. He misses the second half of the current game and since it happened in the first half he gets to play the entire next game. If he had been ejected in the second half then he misses the first half of the following game.

Targeting is ejection for the remainder of the current half and the next subsequent half.
He is correct and your link proved it.Since when?
More stringent targeting rules go into effect
By Greg Johnson A new football rule going into effect this season requires players who target and contact defenseless opponents above the shoulders be ejected.www.ncaa.org
Your still essentially saying the same exact thing. It's not that hard to understandYou guys are delusional. Here is the rule that has been in place since 2013 according to the NCAA in the link I posted.
(copy/paste):
If the foul occurs in the first half of a game, the player is ejected for the remainder of the game. If the foul occurs in the second half or overtime of a game, the player is ejected for the remainder of the game and the first half of the next contest.
