The one with the targeting call?

That is still the rule, right, or will they make an exception?

I have to wonder, what is the rationale of punishment for a misdeed that varies by what part of the game it occurred in. That is bizarre.

I agree. I think "targeting" should be a thing, like the NBA flagrant foul rule, but it shouldn't matter when it happens during a game.

The penalty is too harsh. I knew there was some circumstance where the next game was affected as well.

But, I'm glad he can play so there are no excuses.

You sit out the next half. Whatever game that happens to be in.

Sit out the next half? That's idiotic. If it's enough to sit out, should be automatic ejection from the current game, and suspended for at least the next game.

He was ejected from the game. You are immediately ejected and then you miss the next half.

That's even more ridiculous. So he got ejected, and had to sit out the half he was already ejected for.

I just can't find the logic in that, even if this case was an aberration.

I don't know. These thugs can't seem to be able to stop themselves from head hunting. I guess with enough missed halves the mindset will change.

No. He misses the second half of the current game and since it happened in the first half he gets to play the entire next game. If he had been ejected in the second half then he misses the first half of the following game.

That's what I mean. You are ejected from the game and you miss the next available half your team plays, no matter when that is. I can't seem to explain this clearly. 🥴

Targeting is ejection for the remainder of the current half and the next subsequent half.

You guys are delusional. Here is the rule that has been in place since 2013 according to the NCAA in the link I posted.
(copy/paste):
If the foul occurs in the first half of a game, the player is ejected for the remainder of the game. If the foul occurs in the second half or overtime of a game, the player is ejected for the remainder of the game and the first half of the next contest.

Your still essentially saying the same exact thing. It's not that hard to understand
