Killed one mid morning 2 days ago and killed another one at 7am this morning. Both birds were ridge top strutters that I called out of the hollers. Just had to wait for the head to pop up over the ridge and come out of strut. Yesterday was dead quiet after the cold front but they were talking pretty good early this morning.

I'm not much older than you, so I don't mean this to sound old man-ish. But your rookie season wasn't long ago at all. For someone to go from complete, unashamed newbie to accomplished veteran in that timeframe, self-taught hunting all public land, no less, is really impressive. Not to mention becoming a youtube star along the way.

But to be fair, it seems like you've put more time into the craft over that relatively short time period than most do in decades. So if we base it on hours in the woods rather than years turkey hunting, you'll probably outrank a lot of us.
