Drone recovery??

I know there are folks offering this as a service now, and drones are illegal to use in attempting to kill a deer. If I understand it right, if the drone finds the deer and it is not dead, the hunter cannot then slip in and finish the deer off during the over night period, but can recover a deer found deceased this way. I think they have to leave it alone if it is decided to not be a fatal injury, and there may be a chance the next day to slip into the area the deer was marked to verify and or recover the next day. Not certain on what the ethics of the later are, but recovering one that is dead already I think is a good thing.
Its already illegal to kill deer in the dark, whether they are injured or not.

Been doin it for years. The perception of how it works is widely misunderstood guys
When you are doing surveys or doing recoveries how do you handle property lines? Or do you just fly and investigate anyone's property you are led to? I would be very upset if my neighbors were flying a low level camera over my property.

" it said my deer went in there!"

Will be interesting to see how this plays out if the shotgun deal allowing shooting them down passes.🤔 Thermal drones aren't cheap. I think I might rather someone use a drone to find their deer on my property, as opposed to them traipsing through and their deer possibly not even being on my property.

Maybe drones are like dogs, they can't read no trespassing signs from the air.🙃🤪
