It originally, had an expensive light bar mounted on the front, but after getting bumped a few times it just strobed, and wasn't reliable. The boat gets some beating. I go through trees sometimes and didn't want expensive lights or the boat getting ripped up at the front of the boat.
I wanted the lights to be easily removable and adjustable. These attach and detach quickly and are held very tight by the strong magnets (that are mounted out of the way to the front of the deck). These lights are also very easy to adjust up down left or right.
So I mounted a pair of those heavy duty magnets on the front of the boat and I bolted the led lights to a solid steel (L) bracket. I've since reinforced and wrapped all of the wires with electrical tape. I like it, this covers all the bases for me.
