Duck River

Hello all. New to the forum. I went camping a couple of times last summer at Henry Horton and fished the duck a little bit in my kayak but didn't have much luck in that area. Didn't go too far being unfamiliar with the area at the time. Is it usually a good place to fish? Maybe just wrong time of year? I was fishing for bass and/or panfish. Thanks for any info

Plenty of fish in the Duck. It usually gets slow late summer when the waters low and the temps are high.

Yeah it was later in the summer when I went. I thought maybe that was the case. Gonna try and hit it a little earlier in the spring/summer this year.
