East TN Public

Check out the TVA recreation map. There are public lands all over the area that TVA owns. Hunters coming in on you is normal when it comes to public land and it'll happen at the worst times.

If you live in Powell, yo can be to Big South Fork in one hour and twenty minutes. Check out the southern section of it that crosses Highway 52 just past Rugby. You can park at the bridge or under it and hunt north or south of the highway. It would beat the hell out of Forks of the River. It gets hunted but not hammered.

Thank you Sir do you have address or pin for where you are talking about?

So just curious,

Its been a few years since I have hunted here in East TN. Last probably 5 or so years I have hunted North Carolina private property. "Lost that" So, now I am back to hunting hear local until I can find something else. I have been hunting public land since the start of Bow 3-4 times a week and so far nothing no big deal but what doesn't make since is I have scouted this same Area all summer seen plenty of deer there and now nothing haven't seen the first sign of them since opening morning. I am new to this public land hunting and its kind of aggravating in a way because every time I go in the mornings you have idiots coming in about 7:00-7:20 walking through making all kinds of racket! Am i the only one having this issue or is this just normal? Just curious!
Completely normal on public land. Just gave it my last attempt this morning. I'm done.
