Ebike

I think the 750 watts is the magic number. I am not sure the popo will put you on a radar gun on an e-bike, but I suppose anything is possible... 🤣

Federal lands are different regs, I believe, as well.

Glad to hear that you're still able to go the distance. There are those of us that are aging and don't get around like we used to. So we enjoy the use of bikes. One day, you too will be there. So remember this.
After riding your's, I built me one last year and about to build another one. They are great until the battery goes down. 😆 🤣

I have had the Rambo Krusader 500 watt for a few years . It has been a great bike so far. Battery life has been really good. It has climbed all of the hills that I've used it on. As previously stated, it can be challenging on slick trails. I would highly recommend this bike.

If your gonna climb steep hills the mid drive e-bikes is where it's at. Cause if you have a 7 speed it acts like a transmission with 1st being your low gear. A regular hub drive doesn't do that. I don't own one but did lots of research on it couple years ago. But with it being less than 750 watts being considered non motorized that takes out any need for an Ebike for me. If it says no motorized vehicles. Plus anything less than 750 watts isn't gonna climb much in these mountains.

No but it helps draging up hill easier lol

I have a Ketteles K800 dual motor bike. It has a 1000 watt motor in the front and a 1000 watt motor on the rear. I've had it for three months and purchased it to use here on my farm for hunting etc. I didn't purchase it to use on WMA's as I only hunt one WMA once every 3-4 years, but I needed one that would climb the steep hills on my property. It does that with ease!
It is a pedal assist bike but has a twist grip throttle that you can use instead of pedal assist, of course using just throttle will shorten battery life. I've had it up to 30mph on the open road. Even has cruise control lol.
It has 5 levels of pedal assist so you can get all the exercise you want [or not]. It is a hoot to ride and very quiet. I'm going to build a trailer for it to hopefully haul my next deer out of the woods.

Saw a guy on one at LBL last year on the north/South trail that is "no motorized vehicles". His response was "I'll take my chances on a $50 ticket". My response was not very nice. Any motor at all puts everyone else at a disadvantage. If you want to pedal a mountain bike, have at it.
