I have been thinking about a moose hunt possibly. I know you have to draw and some require preference points.

out west it takes years or a lot of luck to draw a moose tag. Possibly up in Maine or somewhere in the NorthEast ?

I've got a buddy who lives up in Maine, so I've been accumulating preference points for Maine moose. Gonna cash in when I get like 10, probably.
Lower 48 moose is usually a pipe dream. Even Maine can be tough and takes years of points to draw. Trying for a shiras moose in the west is a point creep chase that most will never catch up with. Canada is your cheapest option and easiest tag.
