Anybody going to brave the single digit temps to hunt Friday? It's always been my experience that when the temps drop into the low 20s and below the deer just don't move a lot, so I won't hunt Friday. However, I'm thinking Thursday might be really good ahead of that cold front.

We're starting to see more and more deer, but oddly enough, they still aren't eating in our Rye/Wheat plots.

I hunted from 1:45 till dark today, they were moving good. I think it will be an active couple weeks .

Do all those neighboring bottomland ag fields plant cover crops such as wheat as a cover crop? Not just this year, but every year?

I have standing beans that haven't been touched yet. It is a crescent about 20 feet deep and about three hundred yards long ... were too green to pick.

Farmer planted wheat on our farm for the first time this year. I saw 19 deer in one end of it Sunday evening.
