Just a few points of interest about the Gators coach McELwain.Just watched Colorado State get crushed by Utah,45-10.McELwain only had the #77th ranked recruiting class 2014 at Colorado State this season, will he be able to recruit a class that can compete with Tennessee,Georgia,Missouri and South Carolina on the recruiting trail? The way it looks so far is he may not be able to recruit as well as Butch Jones and some other coaches in the SEC. Gators recruiting 2015 class ranks somewhere around # 80.I know the Gators should finish somewhere in the top 30 but that won't cut it in the SEC.The Gator fans may be very dissapointed come this time next season.BTW,McELwain's Colorado State team had to hang on just to beat Utah State this year,a team that Tennessee manhandled .Just some facts to think about until signing day.Go Vols

This is another one of your classic post, smh. JM just got to UT. Major coaching staff change, yeah anybody would expect recruiting to be down. As far as recruiting, how about let the man get established. This will be CBJ third year. Before coming to UT who was he? A mid major yankee coach that never had anything to do with the SEC. CJM was a OC at Bama with recruiting ties down here. As far as comparing Colo. St. with a SEC team.....really? Apples to oranges, I think even you know that. At least I hope you do.

I can understand Florida fans liking their new coach but I was pointing out facts that I know about his situation, that his last recruiting class only
came in at #77 in the nation this year so I'm wondering if he can compete with Butch Jones,Steve Spurrier,Mark Right. He has sure not proved he can recruit,so until he proves he can,I'll wait and see.I know that Florida's class now sets around #80 but they should finish in the top 30 even without much effort from the head coach :stir:

Coach Jones won championships on every level he coached

Maybe Coach Mac will let him (Jones) look at his two N/C rings..... As far as the OP..... I looked over it a couple of times and really there's not words for it. I actually did SMH...... :bash:

Coach Jones is in his second year with a bunch of freshman that lost to gators in a fluke game 10-9 we are in top 5 for recruiting for second year blowing gators away, let your imagination take control, sorry bud

Facts have nothing to do with it and are lacking.... This one could end up like the Bama not going to the playoffs and losing 3 games this season Thread. The facts look more like that thread and lack substance. As far as CBJ... His overall record is 61-40, not that impressive when you look a little further and see the schools he coached at. If you feel good about your post, that's really all that matters and we should back you on it.... :tu:

Yep, CBJ took a Cincinnati team that went 12-0 in the regular season in 2009 to 4-8 in his first year in 2010! [emoji38]

2010 might have been 4-8 but that was followed by 2 conference titles 2 years in a row.

Like I said Apples to Oranges comparison between recruiting at a SEC school and Colo. St. Funny part is he could take a #77 ranked recruiting class and go 10-2. Tells me he can do more with less and knows how to coach them up. CBJ took a #7 ranked recruiting class and barely squeak by Vandy to make it to a bowl game.
