Read an article that stated TWRA wanted a non-quota fall turkey season. Has anyone else heard anything?

Since the fall turkey permits are first come, first serve last year, I was worried I'd miss my opportunity if they did stick with quota.

Anyone heard anything?

Personally I think this move for turkeys was a huge mistake, and completely unnecessary considering the massive flooding which could have a negative impact on the hatch this year across many areas of this state. Rather then go off on some huge rant, I am going to sit back and see how things pan out this fall.

Six burds per county.

I think that is what Big D and Grey told me.

Dude...that's just for your your neck of the woods. You guys need to get better at killin' turkeys because you still have a turkey problem over there. :D

Or you can get less picky at what kinda bird you shoot! ;)

Most other counties have a 1 or 3 bird limit. Here is the fall turkey info for this year:
