Just a question to help pass the time until April. What is your favorite spring camo pattern? I know It all depends on what type of area you hunt but I am becoming very fond of mossy oak bottomland!

I have a variety to mix and match shirts with pants..... most of the time I'm wearing a leafy suit so it doesn't matter.

In fall and winter I like optifade or mossy oak tree stand

For turkeys I tend to use anything with light greens and yellows like MO obsession. Bottomland is cool as well.

I don't want anything dark in the spring and I wear a 3d suit 90% of the time and it's mo obsession.

harvester said it... sit still. Doesn't matter what color or pattern, if you move, you're busted. If you are still, they probably won't care what shade of camo or type of leaves you are, they think you are a stump

Leafy suit, color doesn't matter much to me. Realtree, MossyOak, just whatever. REMEMBER TO SIT STILL.

man aint that the truth, that was the #1 reason i went to a leafy suit.....just so i could wear gym shorts and a beater under it lol

Agree.

But, imo, the best camo pattern you can wear turkey hunting is a "mixture". Wear a different camo pattern on your top vs. your bottom. But the main thing will always be a lack of movement that is hiding you. And if you're behind something where a turkey can't see your pants (such as in a blind), then blue jeans become as good a pattern as any. In fact, in some pop-up blinds, a black shirt may be the best camo.

I remember being told once when a deer sees a man setting in the woods he thinks it is a stump. When a turkey sees a stump he don't think till he has run two miles. The best thing I have found is break up the human fourm.
