Fixin to get me a new toy I do believe.

I have one in mind but I haven't been shopping seriously yet.

12 Gauge and must have 3 1/2" capability.
Must be a semi-auto.
Must be fully camo with good fiber optic sites.

Of course, I am leaning towards a Browning (love that dura touch finish) but am open to any top end guns.

What should I look at?

just depends on what you want to spend and what all you want to use it for.

the beretta's are NICE same with the Winchester X2.

i am a big fan of brownings but just cant afford them. My choice when i went shopping on a budget was a Stoeger just because it is basically a benelli at a less cost. If money was no object i would get a beretta Xtrema personally.

Ruger be careful of that Dura Touch. It is great for a turkey and duck gun but that stuff will peel off. It's like anything else I guess, it just gets worn.
I am looking to get a new gun myself but I want an old Browning A5 Magnum. Just haven't found one I could afford yet.
Good luck gun shopping.

Ruger I am in love with a Versa. Even though I haven't shot it and only looked at one and read about it and I probably stare at it everyday wishing I had a gun like that. Sorry I got lost about me.

Try a versa and let me know how great it is. I heard they retail for 1500 but that is just a rumor for right now. :D

most complete turkey gun i ever saw was last year i came across a X2 tru glo turkey edition. of course full camo i think 24" barrel and already equipped with tru glo red dot for just a little over 1200.. they just hard to find now

Don't worry so much about getting a turkey gun as get a GOOD all around, all purpose semi like a Browning, Benelli, or BERETTA...you can always go back and buy different barrels or accessories to build a gun tailored to your specific needs later.

agreed, get a good all around gun then you can modify it for species specific. it is hard to beat any of the 3 above.

I understand what you are saying and I agree with the theory, but I don't really need or WANT another shotgun for more than one purpose.
I want a semi-automatic turkey gun. :D

what length barrel are you wanting? there are pros and cons to 24" barrels vs 26".

Beretta has a SWEET turkey gun as does Winchester both being over $1000

Stoeger and Mossberg both have a great turkey specific gun for $500ish (the new Stoeger that shoots 3.5 is approx $600)

I was thinking 24" due to the handling.
Figured that was plenty since it won't ever shoot at anything but turkey.
