I always enjoyed slipping into the woods with my Marlin Golden 39A. Bought it back in the mid 60s. A bunch of squirrels, rabbits and groundhogs have met their demise with that gun.

I love the 39a...grew up hunting with my grandfather's. Would love to have one.

My Dad bought one when I was born in 1957. It was stolen out of our house before I started walking

Out of the box, the CZ rifles are generally pretty nice. If you want something somewhat custom, find a cheap Ruger 10/22 and toss a green mtn or other higher-grade barrel on it. Then pick from the bunches of aftermarket stocks out there. Upgrade the trigger and go kill squirrels. I have several of each and they are all lots of fun!
