It was still pretty decent in the early 2000s. It's gone downhill since then. Really doesn't get lights out here anymore unless we get a hard freeze. It's local and I go with my dad in his 70s. Else I'd go west.

you talking about ol mittens!?

It's the purgatory flyaway, but I covered over 35 miles on Watts Bar today and never saw a duck. Hope that changes next week. Here's the euro for the week after next…

Yeah, the 9th-12th looks like it could be pretty cold…forecasting 30-40* below normal highs. Saw one where the high was 1* in Nashville area. Still a ways away, so we'll see

Was in west KY yesterday. Water everywhere as well. It did have what few birds were around stirred up however. I picked a crappy blind for the conditions I guess and we scratched one out of the only two that worked into our tiny timber hole.

Saw lots of mallards and wigeon and they were chatty in the air and on the water but just wouldn't give us a look down in the woods.

Headed to west ky later today for 2 days. Trying to get back out there towards end of the week as we think (hope) it'll get better as the week goes on. Been stale for a long time if nothing else hopefully this stirs them up some-
