When I bought my boat it had a lowrance x51 at the bow and another at the console. Both flush mounted. I removed them and upgraded. I put a Garmin 551C and a 93SV at the console, and another 93SV at the bow. The two 93SV units are linked by an ethernet cable. I also swapped from Motorguide to Minnkota. The first pic is what I started with at the bow after removing the x51. The other pics are the finished product. I did a water test yesterday and couldn't be happier.

It's coming. Eventually. Livescope and 2 power poles and I'm DONE! It will be a little while though.

nice install. which model trolling motor did you buy?
Thanks! I am OCD about my boat so I took my time making sure everything was perfect (to me anyway). Also, I was lucky to have a machinist buddy that made the mounting plate for the bow out of 1/4 inch aluminum and it came out perfect. The trolling motor is just a 24V 70lb thrust foot control I bought from a member here lightly used. I fish shallow a lot and not sure I'm ready for a noisy electric steer.

yeah cable steer on mine too. if you ever upgrade to an electronic steer with variable speed and especially the ones with the battery saver option, it can emit some serious interference even on the Garmins. two ways to fix it somewhat, ferrite cores or running a ground from the boat ground buss to the skeg on the trolling motor.(this is the best fix ive seen other than putting the xducer on a stick away from the motor head). you would think that these TM designers would put more shielding into those motor heads or ground them better.
