I haven't had much luck this year with the weather and other priorities. This morning was the best day I've been able to hunt all year.

I knew a couple of birds was in the area and was able to set up on their known roosting spot. After day break I didn't hear a single gooble all morning. This bird slipped in with out a word about 30 minutes after fly down. He sported a 10" beard and one of his spurs was an 1.5". He had several feathers missing from his tail fan which may explain why he came in silent.

You probably did the others birds a favor. I wouldn't want hit by this hooks.

Thanks Catman.

What do you think would cause missing several tail fan feathers.
