Finished my season and limit this morning with this nice bird. I struck this guy early on my second property. I slipped in to a place where I new a couple birds were. I start calling with a copper pot call I made this week, and soon I think I hear a gobble. I start walking in that direction and call and then I can tell he's closer. I move fast and cut the distance and he gobbles a lot closer. I set up in front of a small patch of bushes in the edge of the cow pasture and start soft calling. He gobbles very close and I get ready. After a few soft clucks and purrs I see his red head and neck come over the rise looking for me. I hesitate a moment to make sure he's not a jake and center his neck in the scope and squeeze the trigger on my 870 20 gauge with a load of Tss off and my season is over. 20lbs, 9 1/2 in beard and 1 1/8 in spurs. The season started cool and windy but finally some nice weather has birds working to the calls. Now I am going to help a buddy and my nephew maybe get them a bird. Good luck to everyone.Bigdoc

I turned the call from start to the finish. Lol Hand loaded Tss shell and a call you made adds a lot to the hunt. This call is copper over glass. Good luck getting yall a bird.
