Finished off the season with a first

We've had a heck of a year. I managed a 8 and 9 point, my son got an 8 and a doe and my daughter got her first buck, also an 8 point.
Went out today in the wind hoping to shoot a doe. Not much going on when i hear running and a small doe comes flying past me. About 5 seconds behind here was 2 foxes. Running straight at me. Couldn't get them to stop. I put the crosshairs on the lead one and the CVA BARKED. When I walked up to hit. I hit in the lower jaw and it excited through its ear !!! First Fox for me. Of course that's exactly how I drew it up. Well…that's what I'm telling people.

We have several around here. I've seen a lot of them but never had the chance to shoot one until now. For the last couple years we've had a momma fox that has her litter here close to the house (in town limits) and they'll come out at night and drink from the little creek in front of the house and play.
