FIREMANJIM's black-flash video unit

So cool, but I'm not sure I understand something. How is it that we can see the black flash Uway unit flashing in the infrared video light, but the doe doesn't seem to see it?

The video recorder has an imager sensative to infra-red light. We (and deer) can't see infra-red light. She sees no light from either the video unit or the camera. We wouldn't either if we were standing next to her. Just total darkness.

On the Uway still camera, I can't see any light at all, even if I have my face pressed against the flash in a dark room. But on the video unit, I can see a faint violet-purple glow if I'm right up near the unit. But if I step bck to about 8-10 feet, I can't see it anymore.

Doesn't appear the deer can see it at all.

So I'd like to put in a request. I'd like to see a couple of those Uway pics. of your face smushed all up against the camera. Then, the finale would be the video of your face looking intently yet disturbingly at the video camera.

I may have erased the videos, but I did have one of me testing the unit in my backyard, with me tilting my head left and right as I approached the unit in the dark, trying to see the lights. Pretty goofy!
