Goshen, I hunt the midwest as well, and I will give you my opinion about the young 11ptr. If you are hunting mature bucks, I would no doubt pass that buck up in a heartbeat. That buck has the potential to be a true top-end buck in a couple of years.

I couldn't agree more Quailman. That buck is going to be spectacular in another year or two.

I agree...passed one similar on my land. I think he'll be about 140 as a 3.5 if not better this year. If he comes by me he won't see 4.5.

Whats the setup like at this location Goshen?

That camera is sitting at the base of a two man ladder stand set in a cedar tree. This is near the bottom of a deep hollow and is right at the egde of a powerline cut which we have sowed in a food plot. The deer pictured are walking a small logging road. Headed right to left they are just about to step out into the powerline cut, coming from left to right they are coming up out of the powerline cut. The stand itself faces away from the powerline cut, so this road is just to your left as you sit in the stand...perfect for a right handed bow shooter like myself. Each of those bucks are inside of 15 yards from the stand.

I think the first 8 pointer pictured is the buck I would probably take. I agree that the 11 pointer is a good up and comer. The problem is this is just an 80 acre property...

Great bucks. Do you remember if you got a lot of whiteout pics with that camera, especially during transition periods?

A few, but not a lot. I was very pleased with the overall quality of pictures and performance. I will be checking it again this weekend.

This time I might change the quality setting to high. It is only set to medium right now.
