Nice going for sure, congrats on a very nice buck
A big congrats on a great hunt and beautiful buck.I got my first buck with a bow on Thursday evening, about an hour and a half after taking my first deer with a bow (mature doe). Got another yearling doe the following day. Best 2 days of hunting in my life lol. Not only was this my first buck with a bow, it was also by far the biggest buck I've ever killed, and the only one worthy of going my wall. The thrill was incredible, I still get the shakes just thinking about it. It makes me want to switch to solely bow hunting.
The bow that was used was a Hoyt Ventum 33, set at 70lb draw, and the broadheads were QAD Exodus 100g. Full pass through on all 3 deer, none of them went further than 50 yards.
Congratulations! Great buck! Antlers are extremely white for this time of year are they not?
I thought so too. I haven't killed very many bucks tbh, and never one during bow season, so I can't say from personal experience. I'd imagine they'd still be stained up quite a bit from shedding velvet. I'm not sure what all plays into antler color, though.Congratulations! Great buck! Antlers are extremely white for this time of year are they not?
