First Buck EVER

Congrats. I took vacation the week of Thanksgiving/rifle opener and plan to head to the mountains in Washington and unicoi County on the national forest. There are some giants in these mountains but all I usually see are bears
Buffalo or rich mountain?

I usually either go in off 107 or in bumpas cove, I haven't been on buffalo In a few years. I don't plan on killing anything in there unless it's big but I just like being in the mountains.
Haven't been back into bumpas in over two last time I was there they was a 90's Toyota wrecked off the main road on rich mountain. Maybe 2-3 years ago during the winter.

I'm from Greene County but hunted Bumpas Cove a lot in the 1970s because there was way more deer there than in Greene County back then. Now I'm just too old with way too many medical issues to climb those hills. There are some great bucks in those saddles and ridges. Good luck!
