Does anyone know a good place around Nashville to repair a rod. The top guide on my St. Croix is shredding my line. It needs to be replaced. I would send it in to St. Croix but dont want to wait 2 weeks to get it back.

Thanks

Do it yourself... Pretty easy if you can find the replacement tip locally. I got tired of waiting so I bought some tips of assorted sizes and keep them in the garage. Heat it up with a lighter and slide it off. Match it up... clean the tip and put some hot glue on it and slide the tip on and line it up. You can add drop of epoxy or superglue if you like but only a drop. Spin it by hand until it sets. Most guys I know don't use either but I add a drop of epoxy to the outside and let it set. If I need to repair it again I take a razor and peel it off carefully. Takes less than 5 minutes if you have the materials.

He's right. Really an easy fix.
