I just looked and drew Florida wma called Richloam wma. DOES anyone one know anything about it. I know that sounds stupid since I applied for tag. But I was just applying to earn points for a better hunt. I can turn it back in or go hunt.
Thanks

Richloam is a quality hunt, as is any WMA with a first 9 day quota. I've killed several gobblers around Pless Rd camp, believe they call it camp B. Section right off old 50 highway. Better kill them before Scott Ellis and his crew get to them. Richloam and Green Swamp WMA's are their stomping grounds :)

Dang man I've been unsuccessful for several years now in the FL draw. I'm trying for lower odds places though. No advice other than congrats and good luck!

I have drawn 2 years in a row. Last yr was on wma with alot of hybrids...so I turned tag back.
This tag is one of 250...so not that great but it's I'm right area. I am thinking of turning it back and waiting another year for a wma that has higher harvest rates. 10% harvest is pretty low.
Next year maybe I can draw a tag and be 1 in 30 hunters with 25 to 50% kill.

Never bird hunted there, but make sure you have a map and a full tank of fuel. The place is big and has a lot of roads that the dog boys tear up in the fall.

The population tanked after the 2012 season. Numerous bad hatches caught up to the area. The area still hasn't recovered. There are birds there, but it is a lot tougher hunting now than it used to be.

Sounds like Big Cypress too.
