ever tried it? when the smallmouth, white bass etc on the Holston slack off, i fly fish for gar. i can't help myself, it's an insidous addiction. fray a small piece of nylon cord savagely, and use it for a fly. the gar grab that, and it's all over but the shouting. lots of fun...

I've done it some, it was fun but I was surprised how little they fought
