This popped up as a "memory" on my facebook today. LOL
It was from like 4 years ago I think.
We hit a pond at the country club and took these out for a CMJ. :rotf:

I remember getting hammered pretty good for it too.
I had just bought my first fillet knife and these were my first ones to do.
I learned a few things.
1) Bass are the easiest fish to fillet.
2) Everyone but me is faster with a regular knife than with an electric one.
3) Nobody should ever post a picture of a bass they are going to eat.
4) I honestly don't care for bass to eat. I have since had them grilled and I prefer that over fried for some reason.
 
Not sure who is faster with a regular knife but an electric is the fastest IMO.

Bass are great to eat also, well the smaller ones eat better.

I know I have posted this before, but this is from private land in another state a few years ago, told by landowner to keep the little ones, 3 guys and short amount of time,
GREAT EATING.

Oh and I think I am in the minority in my opinion of eating bass.
Alot of my friends love them, I just don't care for them at all.
Kinda like flathead catfish. I have had it one time and it was honestly like eating deep fried mud. That is 180 degrees from what everyone says about them too.
Guess I just have strange taste buds. :D

Yep, I know who mean. I am hopefully headed back to that place here soon. It will be hot but for sure fun.

One lake he has, we occasionally find a topwater bite and they will average anywhere from 4-7 lbs.

I love eating 10-13" bass, any bigger and I don't care for them.

People crack me UP.

i usually dont since most people on youtube are morons. since you said something i read them, and yep, most people on youtube are morons. i did find that he uses a cabelas angler knife and a rapala and constantly uses a honing steel. probably what i need to do especially with bluegill. for some reason i hate the thought of using an electric saw on a fish, lol.
 
I actually prefer a traditional knife over an electric especially on crappie. I do however have and use an American Angler from time to time.
 
I've ate bass all my life.

The best tasting come from cool water creeks.

The river / lake fish are ok during the cooler months.

12 to 14" are good pan frying size and I prefer too skin the bass vs scaleing.
