In 2021, my son got hurt. In 2022, I got hurt. Then, in 2023, my stepdad passed away. For the first time since around 2018, before I had my first kid, I finally felt motivated to hunt again.
However, since I only have access to public land since step dad passed, I knew it wouldn't be easy. Still, I've enjoyed being out in the woods. Unfortunately, the closure of North Cherokee really messed up my plans. This week, after taking time off from work to hunt, I've seen around 3,453 bear hunters. It seems like they've all migrated to South Cherokee.
I've checked a few spots in Loudon County that are TVA land walked 5 miles and saw one pile of scat and checked out wears bend? I think it's called and pretty sure it had a hunter in every other tree on a Tuesday.
Does anyone know of a spot in or near McMinn County where a guy might have a chance at getting a doe with a bow?
Ranting over still beats being at work and I've had some beautiful weather this week so can't really complain
