I had one many years ago and it had a set of wheels that would attache to it so you could pull it to the tree and then pack a deer out. The wheels were large, spoked wheels with bicycle tires.

I have a friend who has one that his buddy made him out of electrical unistrut and emt conduit that is welded together. They welded the bolts and used wing nuts. Heavy duty and it's probably stronger than an actual original one. He said they made about 5 of them after one guy bought one. One of the guys wives worked at an Upolstery shop and made them all a heavy duty double stitched canvas sling seat.

My favorite part about them was the safety belt was attached TO THE STAND! So if the stand ever broke, you would be like Wil E. Coyote and hit the ground, then the belt would pull the stand down on top of you.

Heavy, awkward to carry in the woods, loud as well…but once you get it on the tree, the greatest climbing stand ever! I bought one when I was 15 years old. No telling how many deer I've killed from it.

My brother had one and you could hear him walking in the woods with it for miles. CA CLANG CA CLANG CA CLANG. That being said, it was very comfortable. You just need to get it hung ahead of time. They started making them again. I don't know that they still do. They use to make a ladder stand for a while which I always wanted one.
