Long story short I shot him in the face lol.
Patience paid off. Went with a fellow TNdeer member (aka the lurker) and had birds gobbling but they were all in the next ridge. Waited till 8:30 and decided to get up. We were just standing taking about what to do and I gobbles on my diaphragm call ( half jokingly because the reeds kept sticking. Only really did it to get the reeds separated) and sure enough this dude gobbled not 50yds away lol. We sat right back down and ended up shooting him at 15 yds.
