G5 Has a "Rage" Style Head for 2012...Looks Good

Hmmmmm....wasn't it just earlier this year when they (G5) went a Rage "style" bashing campaign calling them a sliver? It just goes to show that these companies will tell you what you want to hear so they can "ohhhh and ahhhh" you in an effort to make a sell as they only make minor changes to a mechanical broadhead design, or any other archery product for that matter.

Good point! I guess they might have to back track on that one.

I do not and NEVER will undestand why ANYONE who is a SERIOUS bowhunter, wants to spend 35-40 dollars for THREE broadheads.

Unless of course that hunter only CHOOSES to shoot say, 1-3 deer per season.

Then I can get an idea of why they would spend the extra money.

My son and I together have put 12 heads through deer this year. Our broadheads cost us NOTHING...NOT A PENNEY. NADA!!!!

In fact, when we sent the Magnus Stingers back to Magnus, we enclosed pics of our two biggest bucks and got back not only 12 new broadheads, BUT FREE T-SHIRTS as well!

GREAT heads and even GREATER company!!!

Sorry if I insulted you. I did not mean to in any way at all.

I am a fan of Rage, Gator XP, and MANY MANY other heads. I have NO problem with ANYONE shooting any head they choose to shoot.

I am simply trying to help. And in these tough economic
times, I thought FREE might be good for a few of us.

Again, no insult intended.

How do the Magnus Stingers fly in relation to field points? I hear nothing but good things about them including similar customer service stories like you shared.

If an archer is shooting a properly tuned bow. And arrow spine is matched properly, they fly GREAT.

My field points and Stingers fly the same.

And there are guys in our club who lose deer with poorley shot Stingers, Rages, AND about everything else.

They are a FINE broadhead. But the Company, Magnus, is UNREAL.

I have spoken with them several times over the last few years. They actually WANT you to send them back the used head. They apparently love the correspondence.

The company has really grown as well. And at the rate of their customer service and warranty backing, I imagine will continue to grow.

I actually started using them while they were still making heads "in thier garage".

I have bought nearly FORTY heads, have lost a few, and had nearly one hundred replaced.

I have tried to send them money a time or two and they just send the checks BACK.

I have NO affiliation with them.

They are simply a company that has earned my business and I HIGHLY recommend them and their product.

BTW, I have "converted" MANY other broadhead users and not ONE of the guys has had a problem.

Simply a GREAT value in these tough economic times.

I am a big fan of G5 broadheads because they make great broadheads . To each his own . I like G5 Strikers because they are well engineered , they fly great at higher speeds and are scary sharp .
I will check out the new expandable broadheads as well . They look like a good design .
Everyone has their own reasons for choosing their broadheads , I don't see any reason to knock them for their choices . I'm not going to run out and buy a certain brand just because someone recommends them . I base my choices on my needs .

I use both buzzcut and Stinger. Both work well. I have noticed though that the buzz cut main blade tends to bend or break a little more frequently than the Stinger. Probably because the buzzcut has less blade thickness as the blades are serrated.

I only use the 4 blade 100 gr.

And one more thing.
I try to hunt as efficiently as possible. I try to kill as many deer as I can with as little time on stand per each kill. And as little expense as possible per kill.
I use 4 inch fletch plastic vanes that are VERY tough. My arrows weight 400 grains finished. I have had as many as six kills with one arrow and NO re-fletching. My personal best for one arrow, re-fletched twice, was 15 deer. Using Stinger heads and the same arrow REALLY cuts down on cost.

If I used some of the other, more expensive heads, it would be VERY expensive.

And I have a WHOLE bunch of people to feed. (not to mention HFTH)
