well ive posted a couple other times this week asking for help with my broadhead problems, and the response i got was fantastic. so thank yall for that. well i have narrowed it down to two broadheads- the g5 striker, and the slick trick standard. mostly all the reviews ive read on both of them are good, with the occastional bad one thrown in there ( which every broadhead has as well). just wanted to get you guys's thoughts on the subject.

I have never shot Slick Tricks and I have never shot Strikers at a deer... but the Strikers flew like field points for me. Both are supposed to be great broadheads though.

My 2 cents...there isn't a broadhead on the market that won't humanely kill an animal however some are better than others. My 1st criteria in choosing a broadhead was durability and blade thickness. I didn't wont my broadhead to bend or break a blade even if it was a complete pass through. I actually shot thru 3/4 in. plywood to test this. Next is it had to be surgically sharp. It had to shave the hair on my arm. And finally it had to fly exactly like my field points to achieve maximum arrow performance. Every shooter is different as is every bow set up. What works for me might not work for you so I would suggest trying several heads that are durable and shoot that perfect hole out your bow set up.

I have shot both for a few seasons now , and I would give the nod to the G5 Striker . They both fly well , but the blades of the Striker are sharper .

X2!!! I love the Strikers--they are incredibly sharp, even out of the box, they have the same impact and flight characteristics of my fieldpoints and finally they have great wound damage!!

Tested Striker against Slick Trick Mags this morning getting ready for elk hunt. All 3 of my Strikers are CROOKED and will NOT SPIN. These are brand new out of the box. I am very disappointed in Strikers.

Slick Tricks on the other hand are very well made, fly great, and spin the best of any broadhead I have ever seen. I shot one through a doe last year, broke the front leg, deer was down in less than 5 seconds. Left the arrow in the field, got it a few weeks later, and this broadhead is still perfectly straight, including the very end of the point.
