Right now I'm looking at a 6 point buck chasing a little doe and grunting at her. If I were a betting lady, there should be some good action going on this upcoming muzzleloader weekend. The weekend after that should be golden too.

I'm betting on what is normal for my area. Big peak in buck activity the first 5 days of November (seeking phase), followed by a little lull, then the peak of chasing Nov. 15-21.

I hope you're right. Gonna be at the UT / Mississippi State game opening day and was planning to hunt the next week but wife has to go to Texas so I'm dog sitter. May have my son come stay at the house and take care of them and try to sneak off a couple days. Killed my best buck and probably more deer during muzzleloader season than any other time. It's my favorite time to be in the woods.
