GLORIOUS!

What a $h!t show of a game. Alabama reverted to early season form and got whipped. The play calling was poor and the execution was even poorer. Roll tide!

After seeing bama get beat by both Michigan and Texas this year and now watching the first half of this Washington/ Texas game bama was 100% the worst team in the 2023 playoffs, and probably shouldn't have been in it. Heck if a QB don't get hurt they wouldn't have been.

I believe Wash would have given bama all they wanted. Penix is fun to watch. Probably the most accurate passer in college football this year. Should be a good matchup with Mich and will be interesting to see how Penix handles the Mich defense. He probably hasn't seen a defense like them this season.

Much like TCU last year, if Washington gets on a roll it will be tough to stop them. High octane offenses seem to be feast or famine in big games like this.

And remember, the QB getting hurt WAS the justification for Bama being in there. FSU couldn't complete a forward pass with its backup… but Milroe only had 130-something yards passing in a playoff game.

I'm just calling out the playoff committee's inconsistent and hypocritical statements about selection decisions, not kicking a team while they're down or rubbing salt in a wound.

I fully believe that if it was about:

- DESERVING teams, then FSU earned it by their record and conf championship.

- BEST teams, then UGA was one of the four best.

It didn't play out like that, and I'm glad that I'm not a committee member having to make a decision that will be questioned for a long time. I'm not sure that I would have made the right decision on who should have been left out, especially since we now have the "benefit" of hindsight. There probably was bias involved, maybe finances were a major consideration, or maybe it was just a series of really bad logical exercises that led to numerous unprecedented outcomes that had really bad optics. Regardless, there is no undoing it now.

It's not about deserving or best, its about eyeballs on networks.

Agree, milroe had like 6 completed passes at the half, and was more dangerous with his legs. I'm pretty sure the FSU backup could have done that.

The playoff committee got it wrong, Bama should have never been there.

Bama was there cause espn/abc/sec network got the sec football contract going forward from cbs. They could have lost to auburn and still got in.

I think the part the selection committee got right has produced the 2 best teams in the country playing in the national championship. The way U of Wa and U of Mi played yesterday…they could have beat any other team in the country.

Well when your 13-0 and a power 5 champion kinda hard for the playoff committee to screw that up seems to be common sense.......

O wait they did exactly that.

Had not seen Washington until last night and Penix can flat out play. He threaded passes all over the field. Very impressed with him.

Johnny Cash's Boy Named Sue grew up nowhere near as mean and tough as this guy...
