Gobbling?

Gobbled 3 times on limb Sunday and no more on the ground. Hard to find em when they make no noise.

Well in Madison county they have shut up

Heard 1 bird gobbling fairly well Saturday morning on the roost and a few times after he flew down but on adjacent property and couldn't try to get on him.

Total silence yesterday and this morning where I hunt in Loudon county. Saw a couple of hens and a jake. They never made a sound.....

Lincoln County started off well enough. Lots of Toms, but each always had 2 to three Hens with them.
For the last week to 10 days, total silence, roosted or down.
Switched to midday hunting, spot and stalk. Coming up with a big ZERO.
Hens are on their beds, except for one that wouldn't get out of the road when I left. She was content to just walk down the middle of the road. Almost had to nudge her into the fields with my truck bumper!

Gobbling is still good in SPOTS in Middle TN... Been on gobbling birds all but 4 or 5 days this season...getting quiet 30 - 40 min after flydown most days, figure there getting henned up good now..

They hammer hard again, starting at 5:30, heard ten birds on roast and last gobble was about 945.
