I'm headed to a new spot this morning. Deer activity and sign have been scarce this season but I recently found a couple feed trees about 100 yards apart one of them had a small rub and small scrape next to it. I'm hoping this will be the hammer that breaks the ice...

Everywhere I turn in my neck of the woods is a feed tree. Nuts everywhere.

Ive yet to find one, every book ive got that species is left out. I will just have to keep hunting over ole boring acorns under the oak trees until i can find that magical feed tree species!

Those are golden acorn trees.

Ya I've heard that yellow acorns are the best there is. I can remember when they had them on the public land I hunted and they must have fertilized a bunch cause they left their bags under a rock at the creek.

If you're gonna find an acorn period around these woods I'm in they're gonna have to be yellow. We have basically had zero rain this summer. Gonna be interesting later in the season. Should be good plot hunting.
