We had a buck at the lease that had splits on both G'2s; had him on trail cam before season didnt see him all seson again till the next season during muzzleloader, took him one evening at 4:30 pm,low and behold guess what he had his split G'2s again that year. But not the next year. LOL He is in the Tnregistry under Sykes, Brent.

LSU, looked up the pic and story in TN Deer and it is an impressive deer. Can only hope this one reaches that maturity.

SJS,

I'm one county below you, and from time to time I'll see "mule deer" forked G2 racks. In fact, the two bucks pictured below were photographed years apart, but the racks are so similar in shape that I have no doubt both of these bucks are of the same lineage:

Very Cool!!! Thanks for the insight BSK. Been hunting this property for 12 years and first time I've seen the split G2's. Had a drop tine come through a few years ago, but never saw him after a couple of camera shots.

SJS; look up the 2 deer in registry under Rogers, Donald in Robertson Co. all 3 bucks were taken from 2007 to 2010, I believe, they were all taken in a 200 yard area. I have pics and stories on both, hope you enjoy. The 10 of mine was taken in 07, the 13 was taken in 09 and Brents was in 2010. All the first week of muzzleloader season, so quess where I will be come Muzzleloader opening week? I think I have my dates right. My 2 bucks TWRA aged at 2.5 years old and Brents at 3.5.

LSU - some very nice bucks! You are right about muzzleloading. If the rut is on it is the best time to be in the woods!
