I had the same luck today on public land had a jake and gobbler hammering on private land but wouldn't cross the darn fence.

Curious, how do you know that it was a jake and a gobbler? Did you see them? lol

one gobbled like a jake the other gobbled like a longbeard. Later I saw 2 jakes but they ignored me.

they will fly a creek sometimes as I've seen it more than once. As for gobble differences a jakes gobble will be broken almost like a teen's voice going through puberty. A tom's gobble will be full without the breaks in it.

How about there isn't any! That's why I asked cat did he see the makers of the "jake gobble" and the "tom gobble". I've heard half gobbles(feeble attempts) that were probably jakes, but only one that I could prove was a jake by seeing it. However, I have also seen jakes that were hammering it and I defy anyone to tell those bird's gobbles from a mature toms gobbles.
