Had one break on release yesterday morning. I had drew on a doe, she busted me on the draw so when I shot I thought she jumped the string. Knew she wasn't hit as she went up the ridge and stood there and blew for 30mins. But anyway I took my bino,s and was looking for my arrow. Never seen it. I got down later to go look and found all my shaft but the 2
inch end with the fletching, halfway back to my stand I found the missing piece. No limbs or nothing in the way and I mean nothing. It was a very clean break, almost looked cut not shattered, the nock was even gone. This was a first for me. Anyone had this happen before?

Sounds like the arrow was scored but not cut through.
Its Really hard to get an arrow to break cleanly across the grain.

I would suspect that the arrow may have been accidentally cut partway through when it was cut to size.

Check the rest of your arrows by wearing gloves and flexing your arrows slightly. If they make crackle noise, splinter, crack, or break, they have a problem.

Had a Carbon Express blow up on me once and, believe it or not, it was the ONLY time ever that I didn't do a flex test first (what are the odds??). I've never seen one break cleanly across the grain, though. I suspect fishboy may be onto something!

I figure it had to be cracked or cut in some way, but they all got flexed before they went huntin. I've been shooting the same arrows for 2 yrs now. But this was my favorite one. It flew the truest evertime. I don't really know what happened though it had been shot many times in the past. I shot a wbiscuit I really wondered if that had something to do with it.
